The May 7, 2010 Progressive Dinner raised more than $4,000 for the Ford House Restoration fund. Thanks to all who came and enjoyed a festive evening among three of Mendocino's beautiful Victorian buildings -- the Ford House, the Mendocino Hotel, and the Kelley House.
Appetizers -- 6 pm at the Ford House, prepared by Chef Margaret Fox, including poached shrimp and artisanal cheeses, paired with Navarro Gewurtztraminer 2006 and Roederer Estate Rose
Dinner -- at the Mendocino Hotel, prepared by Chef Drew Ison, including baby arugula salad paired with Handley Cellars Anderson Valley Chardonnay 2006, choice of Orange-Molasses Lacquered Chicken Breast or Rosemary-Marinated Grilled Flat Iron Steak, wild mushroom risotto, pesto-roasted tomatoes, paired with Golden Eye Migration Pinot Noir 2007
Dessert Buffet -- at the Kelley House, prepared by Melinda Ellis of Melinda Ellis Cakes, including chocolate-dipped cream puffs, friands, vanilla bean caramels, shortbread cookies, bittersweet chocolate and sea salt cookies, and lemon bars, paired with Esterlina Port.
